Pilot demand outlook: There will be about 65000 business jet pilots needed by 2028
On October 16th, CAE published 2018 CAE Airline and Business Jet Pilot Demand Outlook. Based on this document, CAE predicts that in following 10 years the population of business jet pilots will grow by 18 percent.
The statement completes the forecast from 2017. This document enables airlines to get more accurate overview of the development in air transport and to respond to the demand. Business jet pilots are supposed to be needed both in the commercial field and business aviation.
CAE awaits that in the 2028 the turnover rate will increase by 100 percent. That means there will be hired 10 000 new business-jet pilots and other 40 000 business-jet pilots should become support articles for retirement attrition through the upcoming decade.
Marc Parent, the CAE’s President and CEO claims: “Our 2018 update builds on last year’s analysis while introducing for the first time a business jet pilot forecast and shedding light on ways the aviation industry can cope with this demand. Today’s soaring pilot demand is a reality that we must all face. As the leading training organization in the world, we are honored to offer our partners the training solutions they need to face this rising demand.”
