L3 Commercial Aviation will deliver new B787-9 Full Flight Simulator to KLM
There is a new cooperation between KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and L3 Commercial Aviation which provides holistic solutions across a wide range of services in the commercial aviation industry. According to this agreement, L3 Commercial Aviation will supply the airline’s training center at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands with a B787-9 Full Flight Simulator (FFS). Based on the comments of Robin Glover-Faure, President of Commercial Training Solutions, there is a strong relationship between companies.
The L3 RealitySeven simulator should be delivered in the middle of 2020. It is supposed to enlarge training capability and capacity of the 787 training. L3 Commercial Aviation commited itself to realize updates of one B787 and one A330 FFS device as well. B787 should get the latest configuration of Boeing FFS and A330 will gain new aircraft systems and features. Thanks to that, KLM will be able to deliver Upset Prevention and Recovery Training following current EASA regulations.
