KURA Aviation is opening First Officer placement programme in cooperation with British Airways CityFlyer

KURA Aviation offering a unique opportunity to expedite your career in airline industry with zero cost. The programme includes 2 year work placement at BA CityFlyer and sponsored APS MCC + type rating. The aim is to attract fresh CPL ME/IR holders. As soon as cadets finish the programme and training, they will start their career as First Officers on the Embraer 170/190. BA CityFlyer bases include London City Airport, London Stansted, Manchester Airport and Edinburgh Airport. However, the 2 years internship will take place at London City. 

This offer is suitable for both modular and integrated pilots. Firstly, applicants have to succeed in the pre-entry selection process followed by 2 stage selection process. Chosen candidates will become Fleet Technical Executive or Navigation, Weights and Performance Officers (both options available), receive the fully donated KURA Training Programme (containing APS MCC) so as the Embraer 170/190 type rating. 

Application requirements:

  • Hold EASA CPL/IR (A)
  • EASA Class 1 Medical
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • Fulfill ICAO English Level 5
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK

As you can notice, only ICAO English Level 5 is required. This opens the opportunity to non-native english speakers as well.

Purpose of Fleet Technical Executive Officer

Assure the updating of all aircraft, simulator and operational technical libraries (iPad EFBs). Maintain a continuous assess of all relevant regulatory rules. Establish and oversee an effective fuel consumption monitoring programme. Maintain an efficient Flight Crew Reporting system and also manage an efficient Cosmic Radiation Monitoring programme. Purpose of Navigation, Weights and Performance Officer

Assure compliance and functioning of all navigation, weight and balance and aircraft performance support systems and documentation related to the BA CityFlyer fleet. Download PDF with detailed job description.
