The Aviatrix Project offers exciting flying and ground school opportunities for 2023 applicants, covering PPL to commercial-level experiences. Applications are now open for the following opportunities:

  • FlightPad is offering 20 Boeing 737 simulator sessions in their fixed-based simulator located in London, available for ages 14 and above.
  • CATS Aviation Training is providing theoretical knowledge courses for PPL and ATPL studies.
  • Pooley’s Flight Equipment is offering a full range of Air Pilots Manuals covering PPL subjects to five students.
  • Take Flight Aviation and Flying Made Easy are providing a total of 24 taster flights for those aged 14 and above at Enstone and Old Buckenham-based locations.

The Aviatrix Project was established to raise awareness about aviation as a potential career choice, particularly amongst women, girls, and people from diverse backgrounds.

To apply for any of the opportunities listed above, please visit Aviatrix Project website and fill out the application form by 12 noon on Friday, April 28th, 2023. Winners will be announced in June 2023.

About Aviatrix Project

The project aims to collaborate closely with primary and secondary schools, as well as higher education institutions, to inspire and encourage girls to pursue careers in STEM fields, particularly in aviation. The goal is achieved by facilitating visits from commercial and private pilots, engineers, and other aviation professionals to deliver informative workshops and presentations that align with the school curriculum.
