Applications for spring group of airBaltic Academy pilot programme close soon
In the end of November 2018, airBaltic announced the company was looking for wannabe pilots to attend the spring round of the airBaltic Pilot Academy. You can apply for your place in airBaltic Pilot Academy till January 14, 2019.
Students of this pilot programme are supposed to finish the training in 2 years. Based on the statement of the air Baltic CEO, this course is the third band in the line thanks to the enormous motivation of previous classes of the Pilot Academy.
The airBaltic SVP Flight Operations Pauls Cālītis describes the training programme: “With state-of-the-art Diamond Aircraft and simulator we received this year, professional instructors and Integrated Airline Transport Pilot course certification, airBaltic Pilot Academy is the go-to programme for aspiring Baltic pilots. This is the only programme to offer high calibre pilot training, which will lead to employment as an airBaltic pilot. We are proud to offer this unique opportunity for all Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians.”
Requirements and Selection Process
Applicants should follow some minimum conditions to be included in the selection process. Firstly, they should be at least 18 years old, high school graduates, holders of Medical Class 1. Then they are supposed to know maths, physics and English both spoken and written, have no criminal record, be able to swim and in the case of necessary loan they should have clear credit history.
Potential pilots should be interested and knowledgeable in aviation, own good cognitive abilities, have a positive sociable charisma, live actively and their health should meet rules of aviation transport pilots. Talking about the selection process, the first step is to collect all assignments with associated documents and judge them. Then applicants should prove their ability to work in teams and perform their psychological and cognitive assumption during group tasks. The company will check the financial solvency of candidates and rate their skills in English, maths and physics so as cognitive and special orientation capacities individually. The last stage are interviews followed by the decision.
